Lace has always had great eye appeal but this fall there is a definite darker mood. Whether you call it Goth or Victoriana, in black it adds a glamorous edge to any holiday outfit. Think about kimono coverups this holiday season in sheer fabrics with black lace and velvet ribbon edging the kimono. The bustier automatically adds up to glamour and with a velvet tuxedo jacket would be a standout fashion ensemble for a party. For those who want a hint of lace, accessories are the way to add this season's trend. A soft scarf with black lace edging will provide the look you want. Yes this fall it's all about the lace.

When it comes to accessories and the latest jewelry trend, more is most definitely more. Bohemian style is all about piling on the pieces from rings and bracelets to necklaces and earrings. The best part is, there are no rules! But if you're worried that your "arm party" or "neckwear" will look more crazy than festive, here are a few guidelines and ideas. 1. Keep the bracelets monochromatic, but think different shapes and materials. 2. Layer delicate necklaces in graduated lengths. 3. Pair your wider cuffs on one arm with a selection of layers on the other arm to balance the look. IMPORTANT NOTE Remember to have fun with your accessories - they make your look memorable by looking finished.

Spring and summer is the perfect time for all those hand crafted neckpieces.
Fashion, at the moment is fringe obsessed. Both accessories and garments have long, swinging fringed edges. Earlier, I posted about the fringe trend and how to incorporate different types of fringes onto garments.
Fringe jewelry, whether it is a multi-chain, bead, leather or feather fringe really speaks about global and ethnic trends, what I like to think of as Bohemian.
Adornments that are handmade, colourful and not quite perfect are easy and casual, ideal for summer. Read further for ideas and free tutorials for different ideas on how you can add fringe benefits to your jewelry.

One can become obsessed with denim. I know this for a fact because I love all things denim. Not only in the variety of jeans, but jean jackets, shirts and accessories.
Repurposing jeans can come off looking somewhat iffy, not polished if care is not taken in the finishing.
Whatever you are restyling, redoing or repurposing doesn't need to be tailored to an inch of it's life and can even be shabby chic in nature.
My horror is the shabby not chic, long threads hanging, projects that look half finished and slapped together.
Closeup, the necklace above is not precious in it's style. The edges are raw with an urban cool vibe but the beads pull it all together and add a hint of refinement, detail.
Read on to see that not all denim accessories need to be casual or worn casually.
What can be more wonderful than to take the stuffiness out of a silk blouse by adding a necklace made of denim loops that are snapped together.
You will look at your old jeans in a whole new way. It's jeanius!
